Optional aggregate measurement

Signal counts page sections opened, Help and Markets button clicks, Share button clicks, checklist activity and selected outbound links. Counters are grouped by UTC day, action, page category and a fixed destination category or product code. They are not unique visitor counts, confirmed shares, completed purchases, donations or affiliate conversions.

The measurement database does not store IP addresses, visitor or session identifiers, names, emails, precise location, article titles, full destination URLs, search terms, donation amounts or payment details. There are no analytics cookies or advertising pixels in this measurement system. The browser sends a small request to Signal; normal network and hosting operations may process connection information separately.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control disable this browser measurement. You can also turn it off below. If browser storage is unavailable, measurement stays disabled. Aggregate records older than 90 days are removed when subsequent measurement writes succeed. Previous aggregate totals cannot be associated with or removed for an individual visitor because there is no visitor identifier.

Optional aggregate usage measurement: Checking preference…

Accounts and membership

Account sign-in is provided by ChatGPT through this hosting platform. Signal receives a site-specific account identifier and your sign-in email and display name. Creating a Signal account stores that identifier and creation date in the account database. When billing is connected, the account also stores Stripe customer and checkout identifiers. Signal sends your email and an opaque account reference to Stripe when you choose checkout. Card information is collected by Stripe, not stored by Signal. Membership status is verified server-side; it is not set by a browser preference. Billing records are separate from anonymous aggregate usage counters.

Signal’s current promotional banner advertises its own upcoming membership; it is not a paid third-party ad. No external ad network is connected. Plus removes Signal-controlled promotional and sponsor placements, not ads inside YouTube or other third-party embeds. Standalone email, Google and Apple registration and personalized alert delivery are not active features.

You can sign out on the account page. When billing opens, use Manage billing to cancel subscriptions. For account-data deletion requests, use the corrections and feedback route; deleting local browser storage does not delete an account or cancel billing. Transaction records may need to remain with the payment provider.

Preferences stored on this device

Checklist progress, preparedness needs, watchlists and your measurement choice are stored in your browser. They are not synchronized to an account. Clearing site storage removes them.

Shopping and referral links

Preparedness cards are research examples based on manufacturer information, not hands-on testing or a comprehensive ranking. Merchant sites show current prices, stock, delivery coverage and terms. A purchase from a charity’s store is separate from a charitable donation.

Paid links are activated only after partner approval and are labeled beside the relevant link. Signal may then earn compensation from qualifying purchases or referrals under the partner’s terms. Ordinary merchant links do not establish an affiliate relationship. Commercial consideration does not change the order of humanitarian recommendations. Donations go directly to the organizations.

External services

YouTube players, TradingView charts, map providers, news publishers, merchants, prediction-market platforms and aid organizations operate under their own privacy policies. Opening or using their services can send them device and connection information. Signal does not process purchases, market trades or donations.
